Little House on the Prairie Remake from Sew'n Wild Oaks Quilting Blog

 Hello Everyone,

So much has been happening since the retreat that my posting schedule has basically gone on vacation without me. Then, out of nowhere, I get an email from Marcus Fabrics saying that one of my Gentry’s Mill fabrics has been chosen by the costume designers for the Little House on the Prairie remake on Netflix… and I’m pretty sure I had to read it three times just to make sure I hadn’t accidentally opened someone else’s email.

This is the fabric of mine that was selected.

Here is the fabric in Mary's dress ...

Cabin Happenings from Sew'n Wild Oaks Quilting Blog

 Hello Everyone,

It's been a flurry of activity at the cabin.  'Timeless' is almost a finish!

'Timeless' came back beautifully quilted by my machine quilter, Dianne.  Her quilting is incredible and I LOVE how she quilted every single element of it.

I had to get the binding done quickly since I have to send the quilt to Marcus Fabrics so they can pack it in their shipping containers and send off to the H & H show in May where Timeless will be proudly on display in their booth.

I had a little mini photo shoot in the cabin yesterday ...

Timeless Stitches Has Arrived from Sew'n Wild Oaks Quilting Blog

 Hello Everyone,

My sample yardage of Timeless Stitches arrived on Thursday from Marcus Fabrics, and I dug right into it by cutting, starching and quilting.

I have only a limited amount of fabric, so I cut just what I needed for the center of the medallion quilt. I was eager to get started and didn’t want to starch the entire yardage. I have an antique wall‑mounted dryer in the guest bathroom that works perfectly for hanging the starched fabric over the bathtub. With the ceiling heat lamp on, they dry fairly quickly.

While I've been waiting for ...

Hobby House Quilt Works from Sew'n Wild Oaks Quilting Blog

 Hello Everyone,

I'm thrilled to share that this California gal will be heading East next May to Victor, NY where I’ll be teaching at Hobby House Quilt Works!

I'll be teaching my new Timeless design.

This is an image of the fabric called Timeless Stitches for Marcus Fabrics.  I'm anxiously awaiting my sample yardage so I can start creating!  My poor brain is going a thousand miles an hour thinking about additional designs using this fabric. The design are popping in my head faster than I can sketch them!

You can learn more about this weekend ...

Timeless Stitches from Sew'n Wild Oaks Quilting Blog

 Hello Everyone,

Just when it looks like I’ve been sneaking off and playing hookie, surprise! I’ve been busy behind the scenes. Now I get to unveil my newest quilt called Timeless which I'll make with my new line called Timeless Stitches, fresh from her debut at Quilt Market in Houston.

Fingers crossed my sample fabric should be arriving within the next six weeks, and then I can dive into creating Timeless. The full line is shown below, and it’s everything I hoped for: fresh yet vintage, with a beautiful balance of lights and darks. I’ve ...
